Quality assurance editors and proofreaders perform hands-on proofing and editing of transcriptions completed by medical transcriptionists. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. This job requires very little typing but superior proofing and editing skills are required. Nurse on Call If you are a registered nurse, you may be able to supplement your income by working for a company that provides phone-based triage (prioritization of patients for medical treatment) and medical information to its customers. You may be dealing with a pharmaceutical company, insurance company or other health-related organization.
